Misty Morning at Blacks
XTERRA SURF team scored some fun waves at Blacks to begin March. The early morning session on March 1 produced some sizeable peeks for the crew to share. Sam Moody captured the action as a mystic haze lurked for most of the morning. Amateur photographer and Ensenada local, Chris Corona spent the morning in the impact zone clipping a few shots as Kiana Fores, Keenan Lineback, Colton Tisch, and Josè Manuel all took to the water on a day that was unusually crowded for the legendary surf break. Surfing in a Blizzard
We headed north up the frigid coast until we found a peeling left coming off a pier. Sean suited up and I went out to the snow-covered pier to shoot. Although it was challenging conditions to shoot in trying to keep the subject in focus during the blizzard, and not knowing if my toes were going to fall off, it was truly a moment us surfers and surf photographers live for.
