One of our team riders, Kieran Anderson, and a couple of his buddies took a little road trip up to Oregon. Kieran grew up in between Oregon and Carlsbad so he knows his way around up there.

Our first stop on the 20+ hour drive was camping outside of Santa Cruz. They took a back road to a "state park" in which they drove through waist deep water and camped on a beach in freezing temperatures. The next day that finished the drive with a blown differential in the back axel. Which that just means the car is completely unable to drive and they were 4 1/2 hours from the beach. Kieran was able to trade his Dirtbike for a 1990 4x4 Jeep Cherokee. They left at 11pm and arrived at the beach at first light.
They surfed everything from Outer Reefs breaking with 30ft faces to dumpy beach breaks 50ft off the beach. They camped the entire trip, only ate burger king, and snuck into hotel's hot tubs. Hygiene was obviously not a priority either.

It seemed like a super fun trip but it also seemed like a rather adventurous one too. Take a look at some of the photos and the video so you can get little insight to what it's like to take a road trip with Kieran Anderson.
